MEDIA STATEMENT OF THE MINISTER AT THE PRIME MINISTER’S DEPARTMENT (RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS) REGARDING THE RESOLUTIONS OF THE UNITED NATIONS (UN) SECURITY COUNCIL

1. The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) would like to refer to the United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution on a ceasefire in Gaza that has been reached. This UN Security Council Resolution 2728 is highly awaited by the entire international community especially the Muslims around the world who love peace and prosperity.
2. For a long time, the Palestinians in Gaza have been facing the catastrophic test of humanity especially in Ramadan, no food and drinks and medical treatment due to the cruelty and tyranny of the Zionist regime of Israel.
3. The adoption of this resolution opens up the food and beverage supply space and medical aid to enter Gaza, Palestine, as well as the hospitals that have closed due to lack of fuel will also be expected to operate again and be able to provide services to injured citizens.
4. However, when this resolution was reached, the Zionist regime of Israel was still behaving beyond humanity by continuing the attacks and disregarding the resolution reached.
5. The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) calls on all Muslims to continue reading Qunut Nazilah as well as perform their prayers in the surau and mosques so that Allah SWT always protects the Palestinian people. Taking the blessings of Ramadan, let us together multiply our prayers for our brothers in Palestine. At the same time give humanitarian aid so that it can be dispatched to Gaza, Palestine.
That’s all, thank you.
